A widget says "not used by any campaign yet"
On the Widgets page, a widget can be added to your theme and still say "Not used by any campaign yet". That is expected: adding a widget to the theme reserves the spot, but a widget only shows content once a campaign feeds it. Here is what feeds each one.
Each widget on the Widgets page reports two separate things, and it is easy to read them as one. The first is whether the widget is placed in your theme ("Added to theme" or "Not added yet"). The second is whether any campaign is actually driving content into it ("Used by N campaigns" or "Not used by any campaign yet"). A widget needs both before a shopper sees anything: the theme block is the picture frame, the campaign is the picture. An empty frame is not a bug.
Widgets are deliberately quiet. When no campaign feeds a widget, it renders nothing at all on your storefront, no empty box, so "Not used by any campaign yet" means the frame is hanging but no picture is in it yet.
Why "All types" widgets can still say "not used"
The Sale badge and Sale price widgets are tagged "All types", and that wording trips people up. It does not mean every campaign uses them automatically. It means any campaign type is allowed to switch them on. That switch is a per-campaign toggle on the campaign’s Display step, and it is off by default. So you can have several live campaigns and still see "Not used by any campaign yet" on the Sale badge and Sale price, simply because none of those campaigns has the toggle turned on.
The fastest fix for Sale badge and Sale price
Open a campaign, go to its Display step, and turn on Show sale badge and/or Show sale price. Save. The Widgets page will then show that widget as "Used by 1 campaign", and it renders on the products that campaign covers.
What switches each widget on
Some widgets are switched on by a toggle you turn on inside a campaign; others light up automatically as soon as a campaign of the matching type is live. Find your widget below.

One catch for Sale price
Turning on Show sale price is enough to count the widget as "used", but for a struck-through price to actually appear on a product page, the campaign’s discount has to reduce that product’s price as displayed. Two common cases where it will not:
- Discount-code campaigns: the shopper enters a code at checkout, so there is no automatic price drop on the product page to strike through. Use an automatic campaign for a product-page sale price.
- Quantity-tier campaigns: the discount only starts at its quantity threshold (for example 2 or more), so a single unit shows no reduced price. That is expected, not a fault.
Turning a "not used" widget on, step by step
- On the Widgets page, find the widget that says "Not used by any campaign yet" and read its "How to switch this on" hint.
- If the hint is a toggle (tier table, sale badge, sale price): open a campaign, go to the Display step, turn the toggle on, and save.
- If the hint is a campaign type (progress bar, saving on cart, Buy X get Y, gift ladder, bundle): create or resume a live campaign of that type.
- For the countdown: open a campaign and set an end date in the future.
- Return to the Widgets page. The widget now reads "Used by 1 campaign", and you can use "View campaigns" to see which ones.
- Confirm the widget is also added to your theme (the separate "Added to theme" status). Both are needed for it to show on your storefront.
