Share and distribute codes
Get your codes into shoppers’ hands: download a batch as a CSV, or build an auto-apply link that applies the code for the shopper in one click. Ideal for influencers, affiliates, and print.
Once a batch exists, there are two ways to hand codes out. Export the whole batch as a CSV to load into an email tool, a spreadsheet, or a partner’s system. Or build a single auto-apply link that puts the code straight onto the cart for a shopper, so they never have to type or paste it.
Export a batch as CSV
In the batch table, use the Export link on any batch to download it. The first time you export a batch the link reads Export CSV; after that it reads Re-export CSV, and you can download the same batch again at any time. A large batch streams as it downloads, so even a batch of tens of thousands of codes will not stall.
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| code | The discount code itself, one per row. This is what a shopper enters at checkout. |
| offer | The campaign the code belongs to, so you can tell batches from different campaigns apart in one file. |
| usage_cap | The per-code usage limit, when one applies. It is blank today because usage limits are set on the campaign, not per code. |
| expires_at | The code’s expiry date, filled in when you generated the batch with an expiry. Blank for batches with no expiry. |
| channel_tag | The channel label you gave the batch when you generated it, for example a creator or partner name. |
About the usage_cap and expires_at columns
The expires_at column now fills whenever the batch was generated with an expiry date, so you can see each code’s end date at a glance. The usage_cap column stays blank, because usage limits are set on the campaign and apply to every code, not per individual code.
The file is spreadsheet-safe
Codes are written so they open cleanly in Excel, Numbers, and Google Sheets without a leading character being read as a formula. You can open, sort, and split the file without it misbehaving.
Build an auto-apply share link
On a code campaign’s card, the Shareable auto-apply link builder turns the campaign’s primary code into a link. When a shopper opens it, the code is applied automatically and they land where you choose. It is the cleanest way to share a single code in a post, a bio link, or an email.
Choose where the link lands
| Lands on | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Home page | A general offer where you want the shopper to browse first. |
| Cart | Sending a shopper straight to their cart with the code already on. |
| Checkout | Moving a ready-to-buy shopper to checkout with the code applied. |
| Product | A single-product promotion. Enter the product handle (the last part of its URL, for example blue-tee). |
| Collection | A collection-wide promotion. Enter the collection handle. |
Pick a destination, add the handle if you chose Product or Collection, and press Copy link. Paste it anywhere you would share a URL.
The link lives and dies with the campaign
An auto-apply link works only while the campaign is live. It stops working when the campaign ends or is removed. If you archive or delete the campaign, any link you shared will no longer apply the code.
Practical ways to use codes
Influencers and creators
Give each creator their own batch with a distinct prefix (for example ANNA- and BEN-) and a matching channel label. The prefix makes each creator’s codes recognisable at a glance, and the channel label tags the batch so you can see whose codes are being redeemed when you compare batches.
Affiliates
Generate one batch per affiliate, export it as a CSV, and hand it over, or set the campaign to one use per customer so every code is single-use. The channel label keeps each affiliate’s batch separate in your records.
Print and offline
Because codes avoid look-alike characters, they are safe to print on flyers, inserts, and packaging. A shopper reading a code off paper will not confuse a zero for the letter O. Generate a batch, export it, and send it to your printer.
